TIAGO SALGADO
Born in the city of Sabará-MG, majoring in music at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. At the age of 07, he began his musical education at the city's art council, where he studied music theory and participated in the recorder orchestra for 04 years. Between 1994 and 2000, he studied trumpet, saxophone and transverse flute at Sociedade Musical Santa Cecília in his hometown and in the same period he was already acting as keyboard player in bands of different musical styles, and also in classical music recitals in Sabará, Belo Horizonte and region metropolitan area.
He served as cultural manager at Coletivo Fórceps, also in Sabará, carrying out free artistic and cultural activities for the local population between 2008 and 2012 . He is founder, composer and member of the band 4instrumental. Through the band, Tiago performed at important music festivals in Brazil and toured Argentina.
He worked as a pianist for the Big Band at UEMG, in 2012.
He worked as a keyboard teacher and pedagogical coordinator at the Escola de Música 4x4 unit Lagoa, serving students from the regular school system in Belo Horizonte between 2013 and 2017.
He studied Piano Tuning and Restoration at Bituca Universidade de Música Popular and is currently graduating in Music at the Federal University of Minas Gerais.
He participated in the process of composing and recording the soundtrack for the award-winning short film “Estranho Animal”, by film director Arthur Senra, and in the production of arrangements and recordings for the DVD Leguminhos, for children.
He is currently a piano and keyboard teacher at Escola Móvel de Música, in Belo Horizonte, where he also served as a pedagogical coordinator in 2019 and 2020 and works with private piano and keyboard lessons, online and in person.
Tiago Salgado is known for his versatility in teaching the piano and keyboard, adapting the teaching content to the profile of each student. Tiago Salgado bets on teaching that dialogues with the student's experience, applying in a practical way all the theoretical contents necessary for a good learning experience. For having a very diversified musical experience, moving between the erudite and the popular, Salgado has a very particular musical language and an attentive look at the characteristics and needs of each student, whether beginner or beginner.
